Kate Fraga (Trainer)
Graduated from U.C. Santa Barbara with a BA in speech/drama.  She has 2 grown children and has lived with her pets in the county for 25 years, mostly on Fitch Mt. near Healdsburg.  She has been a canvasser with SCCA for over 12 years.  By SCCA’s calculations, she has knocked on over 400,000 doors in her career here in Sonoma County!

Lauren Ballard (Field Manager)

Lauren has been with SCCA since the 2008 election and has been hooked to community organizing ever since.  She attends UC Berkeley as an Undergraduate English major and is pursuing a career in writing. She was born in Sonoma County and plans to continue working to keep our home beautiful for a long time to come.

Caroline Ramirez (Phone Manager)

Also known as La Conchita, Carolina is a Pura Natural chick who was born in East L.A. Her political organizing skills are deeply embedded in her soul. She’s marched against racism and marched for equality for all humanity. Her passion is speaking up for the rights of all creation. Among her many accomplishments are the A.S. Presidency at SRJC, the M.E.Ch.A. Presidency at SRJC , SRJC Latino Student Congress, Dia de Los Muertes planning committee and her B.A. in Multiculturalism from SSU. She’s a lover of nature, the arts, music, laughing, spirituality, cooking, her son, travelling and hanging with her friends.

David Petritz (Assistant Field Manager)

David is a member of the Congress of New Urbanism, has earned an MPA with an emphasis in Community Development and spent most of the past decade as a municipal planner. He is a native of the most scenic region of Michigan and spent fours years in Costa Rica reporting on environmental and social-economic issues as well as on eco-tour attractions.

Sean Janis (Field Canvasser)

Sean is an Artist by nature and a painter by choice. He’s always seeking new opportunities to express his intuition whether on a canvass or flying in the air on his bike. He’s a strong believer that thoughts are the most powerful asset that we have. He hopes humanity will one day wake up and realize.

Candace Simmons (Field Canvasser)

An advocate for Human Rights and Environmental issues. Modern day Space Gypsy majoring in Biochemistry at SRJC. Aspiring to transfer to UC Berkeley or Santa Cruz. A Sonoma County Native who grew up in El Verano, looking to keep our county beautiful. She enjoys reading, bicycling, and drawing in her free time.

Christina Penrose

(Canvass Program Director)

Christina Penrose is a native Californian. She received her B.A. in Music from SF State and is currently going to graduate school at SSU. She is very happy to lead the canvass in their fight to save Sonoma County.

Diane Schulz (Office Manager)
Bringing a long history of office management, child rearing and activism to the organization, Diane is also well-versed in environmental issues. She is a 20 year resident of Sonoma County, having lived in Guerneville for 10 years, where she became focused on environment protection through the Russian River Watershed Protection Committee. She continues to educate herself, particularly in regards to local politics, and finds her work at SCCA the most rewarding job she has had for many years.

Dennis Rosatti (Executive Director) 
Denny grew up in Pennsylvania and is a lifelong naturalist and hiker. He earned a Life Sciences degree from Penn State University, then worked in an environmental engineering lab. He moved to Sonoma County and immediately fell in love with the coast and redwoods, and currently serves as Board President of the Harmony Union School Board.
