How to become a member or supporter

Sonoma County Conservation Action is the nonprofit, nonpartisan political arm of the county’s environmental movement. Membership starts at $25 per year. Your support allows Conservation Action to continue its work. Because SCCA’s activities are political, contributions are not tax-deductible.

Members receive:

• the quarterly SCCA News,
• the annual Environmental Report Card rating the voting records of local officials,
• election endorsements for local offices and ballot measures, and
• the GREAT satisfaction of supporting the election of environmental candidates to local office.

Conservation Action is completely membership supported. We don’t take money from any federal, state, or local agency; all of our donations are from the grassroots of Sonoma County. It is through this grassroots, membership support base that we are able

to continue to educate the public on local, environmental issues and to activate citizens on local campaigns through letter writing and the ballot box.

Can You Do More?
Big money and developers are gaining the upper hand in Sonoma County! They are making it tough to get good people elected, people who will work to improve our environment and defend our quality of life. Conservation Action is the only Sonoma County environmental group dedicated solely to helping environmentally concerned candidates elected to public office- and we can only do it with your financial help. Because we support candidates, we don’t get funding from government agencies or foundation grants. We depend on people like you- individuals who know the power of the ballot box and want to keep achieving victories for our stunning natural heritage every Election Day.

Please become a Sustaining Member of Conservation Action. By making a monthly gift on your credit card or ATM bankcard, you allow us to project our income for the year, know that we have the funds coming in to support the work that absolutely must be done. And because your membership is ongoing, we can do our work more efficiently, spending less money on fundraising, and more money on the programs that carry out our shared mission.
