Volunteers Needed!

A couple of ways to volunteer at SCCA:

1) Office Needs: Includes data entry, web upkeep, coalating of aterials, etc.

2) Events: SCCA has various different events over the course of the year. Volunteers are needed with set up and tear down, serving of food, solicitation of silent auction iterms and wine donations, and more!

3) Gardening: We have a very exciting permaculture workshop coming up that needs lots of volunteers to make it work!  March 31st is the date of the event. Please see our EVENTS PAGE formore details.

4) Council Watchers: We need folks who are willing and or able to go to city council meetings (or watch on TV at Home) and track the decisions and discourse that our electeds participate in.  We then ask these folks to contribute to our Environmental Report Card, our famous grading of the electeds in the county on thier voting for the environment, and how well the councilpeople listen to thier constituents.

5) Your special talent is needed!  Whether it is woodworking, plumbing, creation of art, or financial consulting, we would love to hear how you can uniquely help us become a stronger and healthier Sonoma County Conservation Action! Call 707-571-8566 to talk to us directly!

Here are a few reasons to Volunteer...

1) It's our responsibility, as Americans under the Constitution of the United States of America, to steward the political climate of our land, and to organize together when policies or positions become threatening to our basic Freedoms and Bill of Rights.

2) The only way to create the change you want to see in the world is to act for that change.

3) Apathy is a symptom of disillusionment, Action is the cure to Apathy. Action, therefore, can bring one out of a state of disillusionment, and into a state of enlightenment.

4) Plain and simple, Volunteering feels good!  And is fun!
